Background

Coral Beach Noosa Resort is a beautiful relaxing resort in Noosaville with over 40 two-bedroom and three-bedroom townhouses. We are a family owned business, run by a small team of loyal and focused staff.  The resort is currently focused on improving services and standards and we need to expand our housekeeping team. The Housekeeper will report directly to the resort managers, and will be a key role in the future direction of housekeeping at the resort.

Job Purpose

Ensure our townhouses are always ready for guests at a very high standard of cleanliness and presentation. 

Scope

The role of Housekeeper incorporates the following functions:

  • Undertaking pre-arrival townhouse preparation.  This includes final cleaning activities and townhouse presentation.
  • Ensuring townhouses are being cleaned to a very high standard 
  • Undertaking cleaning duties throughout the resort
  • Reporting of items requiring replacement or maintenance to management
  • Working with management and other members of the housekeeping team to continually improve cleaning standards and productivity.

The Housekeeper will be primarily responsible for all the final preparation and presentation activities necessary to make the townhouses guest-ready prior to check-in. They will also be required to undertake departure cleans and spring cleans from time to time, including making beds, mopping floors, vacuuming and so on.  

When the resort is very busy the Housekeeper will need to be flexible with regard to their work programme and help with other tasks as required to enable everything to get done in the short time available between guest changeovers.
 

Skills and experience

Whilst prior experience in housekeeping is essential, the most important attribute will be your passion and enthusiasm to achieve excellent cleaning outcomes.  You will need to have exceptional attention to detail and meticulous cleaning standards.  You must be loyal and trustworthy, a team player, totally reliable and have a strong can-do approach to your work combined with an ability to work well under pressure.

You need to be flexible with regards to your days of work and daily start and end times and you must be able to work weekends and public holidays when required. You can expect to work between 20-30 hours per week.
