Bluestone Bar & Kitchen is a showcase for Tasmanian produce, serving great coffee and offering a huge range of Tamar Valley wines and Tasmanian gins and whiskies.
We are seeking well presented and experienced Food & Beverage professionals who are passionate about Tasmania and what it offers. Successful candidates must be confident and have the desire to share this knowledge with guests and provide excellent customer service at all times. The role is casual/part-time.
The main duties of this role include (depending on the shift):
- Providing excellent dinner, lunch and/or breakfast table service to guests
- Barista
- Making and serving drinks, including cocktails, pouring beer
- Assisting with events and functions.
- Acting as an ambassador for the hotel and restaurant in all guest engagement.
Sounds simple, right? But to be truly successful and considered for this role, you will need to have and be able to demonstrate through your application:
- At least 1 year experience in a bar/restaurant
- A genuine passion for and knowledge of local food, coffee, wine, whisky and craft beer (you don't see it as just a boring job to pay the bills)
- Strong barista skills
- The ability to successfully demonstrate your knowledge and passion to our guests through your excellent communications skills and good presentation
- The ability to work well within a team
- Initiative and be able to bring fresh ideas to the restaurant
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as the business requires, which may include some early starts and late finishes, weekends and public holidays.
- Attention to detail, loyalty, reliability and responsibility
- A current RSA Certificate
