1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice - Full Time and Casual Chefs

Castle Hill Country Club is one of Sydney's leading private members golf clubs located in the North Western suburbs of Sydney, and is a leader in corporate golf events.

Reporting to the Executive Chef you will assist in the managing of kitchen operations within the club. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a good level of hygiene and food safety standards
• Ensuring stock rotation and ordering requirements for their section including assisting with monthly stocktake.
• General chef duties including short order, varies members and corporate functions including directly dealing with members.

The ideal applicant will have:

• Currently enrolled in a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery OR  looking to begin an apprenticeship
• Good knowledge of current food trends, dedicated with a true passion for food.
• Good understanding of food cost and portion control
• A team player with a can do attitude, willing to lean with excellent communicaton skills and time management
• The ability to work well under pressure with a professional manner, and to occasionally work unsupervised
• A flexible approach to the roster with the ability to work days, nights and weekends.
• Full Australian working right is essential with no restrictions
• Your own transport
