Our Duty Managers are responsible for overseeing the smooth daily operations of the Club in hands on capacity. This role can be quite challenging and requires the successful person to have excellent conflict resolutions skills, along with a friendly disposition. The successful person will need to be available to work across a 7 day rotating roster that includes nights, weekends and public holidays.

Duty Managers at the Caloundra RSL are designated Approved Managers when on shift and therefore must ensure full compliance with all Liquor Licensing requirements, whilst also ensuring customer service is of the highest standard. Duty Managers are required to lead by example and promote a friendly, safe and a well organised operation for all Members, Visitors and employees.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

·  Hold a current (RSA) Responsible service of alcohol certificate

·  Hold a current QLD Approved Managers Licence

·  Hold a current (RSG) Responsible service of gaming certificate

·  Hold a current (RMLV) Responsible Management of Licensed Venue Certificate

·  Must have a minimum of 2 years working in a Duty Manager role or equivalent experience in a similar supervisory position

·  Have a good working knowledge of the following; Liquor Licensing Legislation, QLD Fire Regulations, workplace Health & Safety legislation, Food Safety regulation, Working knowledge of Hospitality operational areas such as Food, Beverage, Gaming, Functions and Reception.

The main duties in this role include:

· Opening and closing of the Club

· Dealing with customer concerns

· Enforcing legislative requirements and Club policies

· Assist with operational needs of the business as required

· Till reconciliation and accurate money handling

· Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the Club is maintained

· Provide leadership and direction for Club employees

· Problem solving

· Staff training, motivation and mentoring

· Overseeing customer service standards
