St Mark's Road Co. is a new day and night concept inspired by Adina Apartment hotels' need for a casual yet appealing restaurant and cafe space that attracts hotel guests, corporates and passers-by.

The name "St Marks Road" is an acknowledgement of our history, being the location of the first Toga hotel in 1982.

The focus of St Mark's Road Co. is on creating a multi-use space that is warm and welcoming in service, design, feel and ambiance, an environment that is appealing as a casual place to catch up with friends, work, or simply hang out.

St Marks Rd Co. is a brand which will continue to evolve our F&B offering.

The Job

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and career driven team player to join the team as a Casual Chef de Partie.  In order to be successful in the position the main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare and cook all food orders including non-menu items as appropriate with a sense of urgency whilst ensuring quality and presentation is maintained.
• Liaise with F&B service team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions and any changes to the menu.
• Ensure par levels of dry goods are maintained.
• Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.
• Ensure service in the kitchen is consistently fast and efficient and report all matters to the senior Chef.
• Organise your assigned section/outlet and ensure it runs efficiently and productively. 
• Check all food is stored and handled as per current food health and hygiene regulations. 
• Work with the Executive Chef/Head Chef and F&B Manager to resolve any guest complaints regarding the quality of food.
• Lead team members by setting a positive example.  Instruct, train and develop junior chefs.
• Supervise all team members within your area of responsibility including kitchen hands

The successful applicant will have:

• A'la Carte service experience favourable
• Hotel experience will be highly regarded
• Customer focused – captures the guests hearts and minds through the culinary experience
• Team player - places higher priority on team goals than on own goals
• Ability to open the restaurant during breakfast period and close after dinner service
• Great attitude - optimistic, engaged and proactive
• Natural personality – confident, knowledgeable and helpful
• Must have Australian recognised Chef Qualifications.
• Full Australian working rights is essential with no visa restrictions. Visa Sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster
