Do you have experience working in the travel industry? Do you need a change from the corporate world?
We are looking for a Full time travel sales manager to build a new sales team along with sourcing new suppliers, package creation, preparing supplier contracts, airlines, AFTA and to work with marketing team.
This opportunity will be varied and challenging, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Manage sales and build a team around you of experienced sales people
- Ensure travel packages are profitable and generating revenues for the company
- Negotiate wholesale contracts for hotels, room allotments, ground services, tour operators and various product/service we sell
- Work within a team to develop and launch new travel packages for domestic and international destinations within agreed timelines
- Review and amend existing packages if needed
- Contract load for hotels, transfers, dynamic hotel load, specials, ground services, tour operator product, various supplier product
- Work within a team to ensure various destination loads are maintained and managed ensuring product is speed to market
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with key suppliers
- Monitoring and analysis of competitors and supplier's prices and product development
- Training reservation/sales team
- Continually research and develop products
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Proven experience in the travel industry
- Experience in business development
- Comfort working in and across numerous platforms online
- Work extremely well collaboratively; take constructive criticism
- Excellent communications skills
- Must demonstrate exemplary organizational skills and have a strong ability of multitasking
- Ability to carry out tasks independently
- Self-starter, highly motivated to succeed under minimal supervision
- Great customer service skills
- Be "big picture" thinking
- Be a genuine team-player
- Passionate about developing others as well as yourself
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
- This role has a great annual salary with KPI bonuses and profit share.
