We are a well-established National Outsourcing Company and we have a number of positions available on the Gold Coast for Stewards and working Stewarding Supervisors.
As a Steward, you'll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of commercial back of house areas. Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Operating dishwashers and other industrial cleaners.
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas and benches ensuring all garbage is removed and equipment is correctly stored.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, standards and safe work practices at all times.
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising the Stewarding Team during your shifts, assisting with cleaning tasks in a hands on manner, organizing equipment and utensils that chefs require daily and for functions and maintaining the cleanliness of commercial back of house areas. Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas and benches ensuring all garbage is removed and equipment is correctly stored.
- Preparing the equipment required for functions (BBQs, Chafing Dishes, plates and etc)
- Supervising and prioritising activities for your team
- Maintaining communication with chefs and supporting them with requirements of cleaning and equipment
- Personally undertaking cleaning tasks as and when required
- Complying with all company policies, procedures, standards and safe work practices at all times
To be considered for these opportunities its expected candidates will have the following experience:
- Proven experience within a 4/5 start hotel environment
- Able to work a 24/7 rotating roster
- Proven experience in meeting quality, safety and service standards
- Solid working knowledge of required tasks
- Excellent presentation
- Be highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency to get the job done
- Have a friendly and welcoming manner
