Loop Roof is a busy garden cocktail bar, situated in the Top End of the CBD, open day & night 7 days a week, with your latest finish being 10pm! This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow and are excited at the prospect of moving away from regimented restaurant service, to thrive in a busy and ever-growing laneway community! Meyers Place laneway is currently undergoing a huge project where it will become the 'greened' laneway in Melbourne, with vertical gardens & a park street.

We are looking for a Chef that can work well under pressure, enjoys a challenge, has experience in casual dining or cocktail bar format kitchens.

You will be responsible for all food production including alacarte and function food. You will develop menus, order stock and kitchen supplies, supervise staff. Develop and monitor food and labour budgets for the kitchen as well as maintaining the highest professional food quality and hygiene standards.

Our next Chef will;

• Oversee the smooth running of the kitchen
• Have proven skills in kitchen operations: control food preparation, ensuring maximum quality and profitability
• Have a hands-on approach to training and mentoring
• Have a passion for cooking
• Be committed to Food Safety and OHS
• Be a savvy operator in relation to costing of menus and effective management of food costs
• Have demonstrated experience in similar role.

This role would ideally suit someone with experience as Sous Chef cooking modern cuisine, someone who values work life balance and is committed, motivated and proactive.
