Your New Workplace 

One of South Brisbane's busiest local taverns is seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager with strong food, beverage and gaming management skills to join the team! 

The Park Ridge Tavern is fast becoming one of the area's best hotels, with outstanding dining facilities, strong gaming trade, regular entertainment schedule and a thriving on-site Cellarbrations Super Store. Nestled just off the highway in a busy urban shopping precinct, the Park Ridge Tavern operates 7 days per week. 

Your New Position 

As the Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the venue's busy bistro, gaming and beverage operation plus take a hands-on approach to assisting with the management of the onsite bottle shop operation. Alongside management, you will be confident in leading a team of hospitality professionals each shift to ensure the best customer experience every time. 

The Duty Manager role will suit the sort of person who thrives on good old-fashioned customer service, who leads by example and can build a cohesive and professional team. In this position, you will; 

  • Provide clear direction to a large team of industry professionals 
  • Ensure venue service standards are exceeded 
  • Manage staff operations including rosters 
  • Manage stock, inventory and cash 
  • Oversee onsite entertainment and events 
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed 
  • Communicate and work alongside the management team to ensure a great working environment 

Your roster is prepared over 7 days with a mix of open and closing shifts including week days, weekends, nights and public holidays, however we aim to to ensure you will have flexibility and balance. 

Who We Are Looking For 

To fulfil this role to the best of our imagination, you will have; 

  • All relevant industry qualifications – RSA, RSG, RMLV & Approved Manager 
  • 3 years' experience in a similar management role including bottle shop management 
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team of individuals 
  • Proven ability to deliver outstanding results for customer service, safety and security of the venue 
  • A mature, responsible and proactive attitude to doing your best work 
  • Experience in strong gaming environments 
  • Good computer skills 
  • Good financial knowledge on how to run a business 
  • Experience in quality food and beverage venues  
  • Strong wine knowledge favourable
