We have a tremendous opportunity for a business development professional with previous hotel sales and marketing experience to develop new and nurture existing business relationships for our beautiful boutique hotel.
About Adelphi Hotel:
Adelphi Hotel has been awarded the best boutique hotel in Victoria for four out of the last five years and since its refurbishment in 2013, has consistently been ranked in the top two hotels on TripAdvisor in Melbourne. We have a fantastic team and pride ourselves on the great relationships we have built with our guests and suppliers.
We have 34 luxurious guest rooms; a very popular restaurant (Om Nom Kitchen); a 10 seater boardroom and our newly renovated rooftop heated pool & deck.
We are a member of the Design Hotels Community and as such have very high product standards and worldwide recognition.
About the Role:
In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with the Department Heads in implementing strategies and executing plans designed to introduce new business and enhance existing stakeholder relationships.
Our successful candidate will be required to actively target new B2B accounts & work on enhancing existing relationships with suppliers including our PR team, Design Hotels associates, channel managers, media, social influencers, travel agents, tour operators, function & events bookers.
Other roles would include:
* Contract Negotiation
* Request For Proposals
* Rate Loading
* Site Inspections & Showarounds
* Sales Presentations & Reporting
* Cold Calling
* Publishing quarterly email-outs
* Attending various trade seminars and Sales Events
About You:
This is a largely autonomous role and as such, we are looking for a self motivated and organised individual with previous similar experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
You will also need to be competent with computers, possess strong written communication skills and be comfortable and confident presenting to groups.

Knowledge of RoomMaster or similar PMS and previous experience in a Boutique Property are just a bonus.
