WE ARE LOOKING FOR PASSIONATE CHEFS...
FULL TIME – HEAD CHEF
FULL TIME / CASUAL - CHEFS
SALARY NEG – ABOVE AWARD
OAR - Coffee House, Bar and Kitchen is a modern brunch restaurant situated on the lake at West Lakes. We have not yet been open for a year and have arleady built a reputation for quality food, coffee and our amazing location. So much so, that we have just won Best Breakfast Restaurant – Metro South & West at the 2018 Restaurant & Catering Association Awards!
We specialise in all day brunch, are passionate about local produce, wine and beer, and also cater to rowing regattas over the summer months. The restaurant is large and very fast paced with indoor and outdoor dining allowing for approximately 150 people. We also offer a take away menu during the summer months and at rowing events.
The venue is also quickly becoming a popular function space with all catering options provided for in-house.
The business has recently purchased a 30 acre property in the Adelaide Hills which will be used to grow and supply high quality produce for Oar. Besides obvious lifestyle benefits, this will give you the opportunity to visit, care for and potentially provide input to the produce you would like to grow and see on your menu.

HEAD CHEF
You role will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee daily operations (including restaurant, functions and take away)
- Deliver and promote outstanding customer service
- Rostering and staff management
- Monitoring cafe performance – revenue and expenditure
- Stock ordering and control
- Menu planning and costing
You will:
- Have minimum two years experience in a similar role
- Have exceptional leadership skills
- Be professional and well presented
- Pay attention to detail and ensure a spotless kitchen
- Enjoy working as part of a team and have effective problem solving skills
- Experience in a fast paced environment
- The ability to motivate and get the best out of their team
- Be passionate and creative with menu planning

CHEFS
Your role will include but not be limited to:
- Ordering stock and stock rotation
- Daily service and food preparation
- Assist in seasonal menu planning
- Receiving delivery’s

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Confident and willing to offer ideas and suggestions for improvements
