Casual Porter

SKYCITY Darwin is seeking a Casual Porter to join the Hotel team. Working closely with the Front Office Reception team, our Porters are the first point of contact for our hotel guests and you will be responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and pleasant memorable experience by handling guest's luggage, assisting with valet parking and informing guests of the events and attractions around Darwin and on the property.

We are looking for:

• An Energetic and Enthusiastic individual who is able to work a 7 day rotating roster including some nights shifts;
• A Pro-active person who uses their initiative;
• Someone able to complete tasks with minimal supervision;
• Previous experience working within the hotel sector;
• Excellent personal presentation and strong communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meeting & greeting guests on arrival;
• Delivery, collection and storage of guest luggage;
• Valet Parking and carrying out vehicle transfers for guests to required destinations;
• Deliver and achieve a level of service quality that consistently exceeds guests expectations.

The successful applicant will need to be flexible and be able to work day and night shifts including weekends and public holidays.

*A current valid Australian driving license is a requirement with the ability to obtain a current H endorsement license. *

To obtain a H endorsement licence, you must meet all of the following criteria's:

• be at least 18 years and six months old
• hold a current NT open (not provisional) driver licence for the type of vehicle you want to drive
• be able to read and write in the English language
• be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or hold a current working visa
• pass the Hire and Reward Knowledge theory test [link removed]
• complete the How to obtain a H (Hire and Reward) Endorsement form
• provide a national police certificate [link removed]supplied by SAFE NT dated within three months
• provide a current medical assessment of fitness to drive [link removed].
