MGSM Executive Hotel and Conference Centre are seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Attendant to help support the team in our elegant licenced A 'La Carte 'Lachlan's' restaurant at our North Ryde campus on a part time, 30 hours per week basis.
MGSM Executive Hotel and Conference Centre, operate an award-winning venue situated on the picturesque grounds of Macquarie University. The shared facility supports the operations of both University and Non-University business, and include an award-winning 4-star hotel, licensed bar and contemporary à la carte restaurant ‘Lachlan’s’, a café and multipurpose function rooms.
As the successful candidate you will engage with both new and regular customers in a polite and friendly manner, you will be working in a supportive yet fast paced environment, ensuring customers are happy and leave with positive experiences. The position will provide food & beverage service to clients while liaising with kitchen and front of house including, greeting customers, explaining the menu to guests, assisting with dietary requests and recommending beverages and processing payments.
Please note this position requires weekend work, availability to work on a rotating roster, including early morning and evening shifts.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in a client facing food & beverage outlet and/or hospitality environment
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Micros
- Proven ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to work shifts rostered over 7 days, including weekends
- Barista skills
