About us
At Katherine Country Club, we offer an award winning restaurant, two bars, sporting activities, undercover children's play area as well as full TAB, KENO & Gaming facilities.
We are open 7 days a week to members, bona-fide guests & travellers.
The Katherine Country Club provides a quality par 72 course with meticulously caretaken greens and and an 8 rink Bowls green, allowing you to partake in these activities in your downtime.
The roles
Reporting directly to the Head and Sous chefs, we currently have two roles available for the perfect candidate to join us.
- Commis Chef - Full time (casual)
- Chef De Partie - Full time salary
We are looking for chefs looking to take the next step into Sous Chef position in the kitchen when the time comes.
We have a versatile and supportive team and work with a set roster.
**NOTE: Wages are negotiable for the perfect applicant!
What you need
- 3-5 years post qualification preferable (though not essential)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work multiple sections (Grill / Fryers / Larder)
- Ability to handle up to 300 meals per night
- Ambitious and dedicated personality
- Experience cooking steaks on the grill
- Work in fast paced environment
- Desire to progress and step into Sous Chef role in the future
- Able to take the lead and take control under pressure
- Must be available to work days, nights and weekends
