Situated in the picturesque town of Stirling, The Stirling Hotel has impressed guests from not only Adelaide but from all around Australia and the world and has set the standard for hospitality and leading new trends. As we make our way through renovations and taking the next step in our historic journey, we are looking for a talented, food and beverage manager to oversee all dining experiences throughout the venue. Our ideal candidate is someone skilled at handling interpersonal communications, being a true host and having a love for the food and wine industry. Someone with the ability to create a positive and motivating working environment and share their passion with our team and customers. We are looking for someone who is ready to tackle challenges and develop a team that is driven to exceeding guest’s expectations each and every day.

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for all dining operations, recruiting and developing the front of house service team. Menu engineering in consultancy with the head chef, maintaining consistent high levels of service and product knowledge. Building guest relations and further growing our already large loyal following.

The person we are looking for, will be an experienced Leader, who possesses a confident, enthusiastic forward-thinking mentality, who demonstrates an effective 'hands-on' approach to team management, with a strong organizational ability. You will have experience working within iconic venues, possess an award-winning mentality with a proven ability of driving success both on a financial and reputation level.

Ideally you would bring the following to the table;

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a food driven operation
  • An entrepreneurial approach to business and a willingness to take risks.
  • Energetic approach to work and a love for collaborating.
  • Leadership and mentorship of a great young team.
  • A precise communicator who enjoys engaging and bringing out their best in their team.
  • In tune with Adelaide’s restaurant scene and up to date in current industry trends.
  • Previous marketing skills in the industry and experience in managing social marketing platforms.
  • Ability to host events and be the face of the venue.
  • Experience in multi facet venues is an advantage but not essential.
  • A good level of wine knowledge is essential.
