MASH Brewing is a leader in the Perth Craft Beer market , with bigger and better things to come.  For 12yrs we have been creating great food and amazing craft beers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated, customer focused Venue Manager to join our team to use their skills to really make a venue their own.  We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic leader with a great work ethic to join our growing team.

Our Venue Manager role is an integral part of the success of the Mash Brewpub and Kitchen.  This role comes with a plethora of roles and responsibilities, so we are looking for a unique person to fill this position.

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive experience in hospitality with a strong understanding of F&B.
  • Excellent presentation, time management, highly organised, punctual & extremely reliable & responsible.
  • Strong focus to drive the highest levels of customer service & ensure quality & consistency of operations, product & service.
  • Liaise with the kitchen team on a daily basis to ensure the food programme is being delivered as per expectation.
  • Ability to train, manage & upskill new & existing staff members to build a strong motivated team.
  • Management of stock control & ordering experience.
  • Labour cost management, particularly the ability to write & work to a costed roster.
  • A strong understanding of the financial aspects of running a venue.
  • Be able to develop strong relationships with the brewery & kitchen heads of dept & work cohesively as a team.
  • Relationship management with suppliers & tour group operators.
  • Adhere to & ensure venue compliance with all relevant licensing & statutory standards.
  • Ability to create & implement procedures to improve the running of the venue & productivity of staff.
  • Event management - ability to create special events within the venue & manage the booking of entertainment as required.
  • Take direction from higher management.
  • Hours will include weekend, night work & public holidays essential to a career in hospitality.

It would be desirable for the successful candidate to also have;

  1. A passion and understanding of craft beer, wine and food and be 100% customer focussed.
  2. Hold current Approved Managers Card.
  3. Hold a drivers license with reliable vehicle. (public transport is not available)
  4. Live within close proximity of the venue.
