The Position

We are currently recruiting experienced Catering Assistants to join our busy and fun team at our 272 bed client site in Cessnock. As part of the catering team, you will have regular interaction with our residents and have a genuine passion for, not only the food we provide but also the people we serve. Our residents health and well being is paramount and we're looking for Catering Assistants who have a smile on their face and will go above and beyond in providing the best service possible.

If you've worked in a similar role, have an adaptable and flexible nature and ideally have aged care experience and have outstanding customer service experience then we'd love you to join our team!

Key Duties

• Responsible for setting up and serving of meals
• Responsible for ensuring food is served at the correct temperature and completing on site records
• Assisting in the kitchen with vitamising of special foods, preparation of afternoon tea trolleys
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, sweeping and mopping of floors
• Provision of excellent customer service to internal and external clients and going "above & beyond" resident & client expectations

The Person

• Previous Catering Assistant experience in an aged-care facility advantageous
• Food preparation/kitchen experience
• Be willing to multi-skill
• Knowledge of food safety
• Must be physically fit
• In line with the required legislation, a valid and current police check will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position
• Have a genuine caring and understanding nature
