Colonial Leisure Group’s Victorian flagship venue, The Portsea Hotel is seeking a General Manager.  The hotel will reopen in November following extensive renovations. A passionate team of hospitality professionals will drive the dining room, bistro, deck, bars and stunning function spaces. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced professional to lead the team.

This role is a rare and valuable opportunity for a General Manager looking to create the next piece of history at the honorable venue.

To be considered for the position you must possess the following;

•                     At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role

•                     Sound background in food and beverage

•                     Ability to excel in a high volume, high pressure environment

•                     Possess common sense and a mature attitude

•                     Passion for exceptional standards

•                     A drive to elevate the venue’s profile through outstanding product development and delivery

•                     Have all relevant industry certifications

•                     Ability to work autonomously and to budget

•                     Ability to lead and motivate your team effectively

•                     A passion for fine food and a strong interest in industry trends

•                     Maintain superior standards of product consistently

•                     Exceptional time management and organisational skills

 

Reporting to the Area Manager and National Operations Manager this role will require outstanding budgeting and reporting skills.
