About the centre

YMCA Victoria manages a number of facilities on behalf of the City of Casey. These facilities include Casey ARC, Casey RACE, Casey Stadium, Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre, Berwick Leisure Centre, Doveton Pool in the Park and Olive Road Sporting Complex; these facilities making up the network of 'One Casey'.

About the role

Delivery of Café Attendant is integral to the operation of the Centre. The Café Attendant has a key role in leading and providing the highest possible level of service to all members and guests.

The Café Attendant is responsible for food and beverage preparation and service, cash handling, cleanliness and adhering to occupational health and safety within the requirements. The role will also involve catering for events and the responsible serving of alcohol.

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and passionate about providing exceptional customer service and food handling.  They will be also be committed to continuous improvement of the café and be committed to achieving the YMCA vision for healthy eating.

  • Strong ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Friendly, outgoing, highly motivated and compassionate personality to build relationships with customers, user groups and Primary Tenants
  • Experience working in a fast-paced service setting
  • Strong alignment with the YMCA values

Qualifications

Working With Children Check , HLTFA301B First Aid Level 2, HLTCPR201A CPR or equivalent. To be completed upon appointment; SITXFSA001 Level 1 Food Handler Certificate, Responsible Service of Alcohol and Safeguarding Children and Young People Certificate.
