Cook/ Chef Level 3-5 Required - 20-25 hours per week
The new Wolf Blass Gallery & Museum is located in picturesque Hahndorf, 20 minutes from the city. We are looking for a dynamic individual with relevant experience to operate our kitchen service.
About the role
The Wolf Blass Museum and Gallery will set a new standard for hospitality in Hahndorf. In a newly renovated venue, visitors from across South Australia, the nation, and overseas, will come to view the unique museum and gallery, and enjoy our gorgeous Wine Bar venue. We would love to find the perfect person to help bring our Adelaide Hills focused menu to the plate.
The kitchen will be a key contributor to our offering. As a key part of kitchen operations, you will easily fit into our team, bring your passion for food and hospitality, strong kitchen skills and high end service experience.
This role may suit someone with these qualities, and perhaps an aspiration for becoming a professional chef down the track.
The successful candidate will be skilled in delivering a high level product to customers and ensure high standards are upheld and maintained in all aspects of kitchen operations. Ability to work weekends and most public holidays will be part of the brief
About You
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be passionate and enthusiastic and apply their skills in the everyday operations
- Ability to work independently
- Ensure exceptional service and product to customers
To be successful in the position you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Goods ordering, receiving, and storage
- Creative and confident in cooking and plating skills
- Ability to monitor food costs & stock levels, using established budgets
- Experience in preparing platters and tapas share meals
- Cleaning of all utensils, equipment and general space on a daily basis
The successful candidate will be a well presented and self-motivated individual.
