At Cater Care we are currently seeking applications for a Part Time Cold Larder /Short Order Cook position at an Aged Care facility in Menangle.
The key to our success is our people. Your role in this environment is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued residents through food preparation and food service.
Roster: Saturday & Sunday 7.00am - 1.30pm
Reporting to the Chef Manager, the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Preparation of sandwiches, salads and fruit platters
• Plating up morning/afternoon tea, desserts and cakes
• Special diets including allergies/intolerances, supplements and texture modified purees
• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen including the dishwashing
• High attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health & Safety
• Serving food to elderly residents in dining room, setting/clearing of dining room
• Understanding of food service with Aged Care - Dementia specific
• Customer service
To succeed in these exciting roles you will need:
• Own Transport due to location
• Time management and ability to multitask
• Previous experience in all aspects of kitchen operations preferably in Aged Care
• Confident knife skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Customer service and resident focused
• Motivated and enthusiastic
