ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated team player to join our team as a Grounds and Maintenance & Duty Officer, at our tourist park, which is located riverside at Moruya NSW

The park consists of a predominately tourist cabins and sites, with annual holiday sites, and permanent residents. Facilities include resort style swimming pool, jumping cushion, tennis court, and activities on a regular basis.

This role is a dual role for a versatile, hands on, enthusiastic team member.  The applicant must be able to carry out tasks for grounds and maintenance, be responsible for the after hours duty 3 nights a week, and be flexible enough to be able to take bookings, and give our guests and residents a very high standard of customer service across the community.

Responsibilities include -

• Caring for established lawns / grounds and maintenance of park grounds in general.
• All areas of landscaping, including mixing and spreading fertilisers, pruning, raking, mulching.
• Upkeep of driveways, parking areas, pathways, building repairs, small plumbing maintenance
• Ability to use hand tools, and operate powered some powered equipment including mower, whipper snippers
• Maintenance of park accommodation and facilities as required
• Pool maintenance and amenity cleaning as required
• Live on site a minimum of 3 nights a week for the Duty management of the park in the managers absence
• Booking guest reservations, and take payment after office hours or as required
• Guest check in and check out
• Support the park managers in the operation of the park on a daily basis
• Working with the team to ensure the best presentation of the park.
• Provision of a high standard of customer service and satisfaction to all guests.
• Responding to reasonable guest requests and assisting with issues
• Maintenance of a safe work environment in line with WH&S procedures.
• Compliance with all Company policies and procedures

The suitable applicant should have the following:

• Previous experience in a similar role is desired though not essential
• Demonstrated ability to carry out grounds maintenance and care
• Ability to live on site for at least a minimum of the equivalent of 3 days a week
• Enthusiasm to take after hours calls and check in guests to provide ultimate guest experience
• Exceptional customer relations skills for our cross section of guests and residents
• Excellent time management skills
• Previous experience with Newbook is an advantage though training will be provided
• Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with all our customers and guests
• Ability to work autonomously within team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work to a consistently high standard
• A high level of attention to detail
• A clear National Police history and working with children check.
