This is an amazing opportunity for a Sous/Head chef looking to get away from the long nights of service and regain some quality of life in a creative cafe setting. This 40 seat venue design and fit out is modern and progressive, and the menu is current and approachable. The owners encourage the chef to create a modern Australian breakfast and lunch menu using quality produce sourced locally.
Located in the Eastern Suburbs, this venue is a hit to locals with a loyal following. With a focus on great service, a real connection with community, and amazing food the team have made every effort to ensure this will be the local lounge room to all! With a small team of kitchen staff, the Head chef will drive the engine room with passion and commitment, whilst encouraging the team to develop in a nurturing environment.
You will have:
- A passion for food and creating fabulous dishes from quality produce
- An ability to work autonomously in a smaller kitchen environment
- Previous experience in a patisserie/bakery and cafe setting highly desirable
- Great attention to detail
- Head Chef or Sous Chef experience
- Creativity to produce an amazing menu
- Team approach and "can do" attitude
- A good understanding of food costs
