About the venue:

Renowned publican and restaurateur Fraser Short, owner of The Sydney Collective (Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel; The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room; Daniel San Manly & more) is embarking on a major renovation of the beloved Mona Vale Hotel.

The old Mona Vale Hotel has been transformed into a serious food precinct. This new community precinct has been designed to represent the new modern community that has formed in and around the northern beaches and the surrounding areas of Mona Vale. 

Park House Food Merchants is a 150 seat restaurant with a Southern Californian food direction. Think Mexican, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences that boast big bold flavours and colours. The Restaurant has a large open kitchen so expect a lot of theatre. We love experimenting so anticipate interesting menu items and specials with locally sourced produce that are accompanied by unique cocktails, fine wines and craft beer.

About the role:

Out kitchen team provides excellent food service presentation to our highly valued customers.

Key aspects of the role include being part a dynamic and motivated team and performing all aspects of food service to the highest standards.

 As a self-motivated and focused individual you will possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 years' restaurant experience
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced environment
  • Keen eye for detail and food presentation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications

About you:

  • Experience in a comparable role in a large multi-function venue
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commands respect and hard work in the kitchen

  • Solid wage management, stocktake and GP monitoring skills.
