About the Role
Working in the Copper Triangle and Port Pirie area, the Regional Branch Support Officer provides operational support to branch committee volunteers, as well as the provision of direct technical skills and knowledge in the areas of meal production and customer service delivery to all volunteers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting branches to provide quality, well presented meals by provision of support, training and supervision of volunteers in meal production and kitchen processes.
- Liaising with branch volunteers regarding orders, complaints, delivery issues, dietary and other queries when necessary.
- Monitor compliance and support maintenance of food safety programs, including adherence to procedures and documentation.
- Implementation of continuous improvement systems covering quality control and risk management
- Provide input in the creation of menus and daily production plans and ordering.
- Support and facilitate regional networking events, including workshops, training sessions, regional conferences.
- Assist branches with recruitment and training of local volunteers in relation to branch activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Strong customer service focus and commitment to quality customer service.
- Ability to maintain strong team relationships with volunteers, customers, staff and other stake-holders.
- Possess high-level interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills (professional, respectful and tactful) in dealing with staff and the public, other agencies, customers, volunteers, colleagues.
- Proficient in Microsoft office programs and working with databases
- Demonstrate excellent supervisory skills and the ability to coach and develop people.
- Ability to make independent decisions, having regard to policy guidelines, organisational practice and resource restraints.
- Coordination, organisation, time management and logistic skills.
- Understanding of cost control.
Desirable:
- Qualification in Commercial Cookery
- Cert IV Community Services, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent experience
- Cert IV Training and Assessment
This is a permanent part time position of 25 hours a week.
Some intrastate travel will be required.
