About the business and the role
We are a busy family run cafe/restaurant in Warragul. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chefs, Cooks, Kitchenhands and Burger makers
The ideal candidate will have flexible availability across day, night and weekend work.
We are very supportive - working side by side our workers, with a number of different areas to work across.
We pay award wages
Job tasks and responsibilities
Kitchen Positions jobs will include but not be limited to:
- Food preperation
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Preperation and service of meals
- At times working unsupervised
- Responsible for some stock ordering and rotation
- Setting up and Closing of Kitchen procedures
- Working between 2 kitchen areas (Main Kitchen and Burger Kitchen)
Skills and experience
We are looking for a person that has worked in a busy restaurant or cafe and able to work/communicate well under pressure.
This person should already have skills enabling them to execute tasks relevant to the kitchen without instruction from superiors.
Excellent time management skills are required
Good communication skills with superiors, peers and customers
