The Great Southern Hotel (GSH) is a busy hotel located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD, offering 268 rooms. The hotel is in the perfect location for both the tourist and business client alike, located within extremely close proximity to all the wonderful Melbourne attractions including the Crown Casino, Southern Cross station, New Quay, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, Etihad Stadium and much more.

The Great Southern Hotel is currently seeking an experienced Room Attendant on a casual basis to join our team. You must take pride in your work and be willing to go that "extra mile" to make our guest's stay an enjoyable one. This is a physically demanding role that requires an energetic and enthusiastic person with a high level of personal fitness. We are seeking someone who is ready and willing to work as part of a team. The candidate must be available to work for approximately 25 to 35 hours per week starting every shift from 8:30 AM to midday / afternoon hours.

Successful candidates will: 

• Have unlimited working rights in Australia
• Have a keen eye for detail 
• Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised 
• Be flexible and available working across a 7 day roster (preferably Monday to Friday)
• Have knowledge and understanding of basic hygiene requirements and safe working procedures 
• Be committed to providing extraordinary service 
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Previous experience in a 3 to 4 star hotel establishment is a must
