Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) is one of Australia's most progressive and innovative Racing Clubs and multi-purpose entertainment venues - home of the prestigious Cox Plate. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Legends; one of our licensed and entertainment venues as Food & Beverage Supervisor. The Legends venue is situated at a vantage point overlooking the racetrack, with excellent views of the City skyline and provides dining and entertainment options to raceday and non-raceday patrons.
As Food & Beverage Supervisor you are responsible for ensuring that all Food & Beverage areas of the Club operate efficiently in line with the venue food hygiene standards while providing exceptional customer service.
Broadly, the responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- In conjunction with the Venue Manager implement and monitor strategies that ensure quality service standards are achieved
- Develop a team of well-trained, professional and motivated food and beverage staff
- Be the conduit between Front of House and Back of House departments
- Liaise constantly with Kitchen Operations Team to ensure all service times run smoothly
- In conjunction with Head Chef, responsible for all HACCP responsibilities of the Legends Venue
- Advise Venue Manager on rostering requirements for the bistro area
- Liaise with Venue Manager to identify, monitor and facilitate training requirements of all food and beverage staff
- Develop strategies to attract events in bistro with a view to increasing revenue
- In conjunction with the Functions Coordinator ensure smooth running of all Legends functions and events
- Ensure that staff perform their duties in line with HACCP guidelines
You will be self-motivated and be able to take on responsibility, but also be able to work well within a team environment. You will have impeccable presentation and a proven ability leading a team and establishing and maintaining relationships both with clients and internally with the team.

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
- 3 years' experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bistro environment
- Responsible Service of Alcohol
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the business
- Display sound management and leadership capabilities
- Ability to perform as an effective team member, to achieve common goals
