The Ville Resort-Casino is nearing the end of its $40M+ makeover. The property presentation and leisure offerings have been completely overhauled, transforming The Ville into a must-see attraction in North Queensland and the best boutique resort casino in the region.

The Laundry department at The Ville operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This incredibly busy department plays a major role in maintaining our image to a high standard with well-maintained employee uniforms and hotel linen. 

Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeper Manager, the Sewing Attendant will be responsible for carrying out general sewing tasks associated with repairs & maintenance of employee uniforms, hotel linen and providing a repair/alteration service to our in house guests.

Our new Sewing Attendant will have:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Industrial sewing machine experience
• Overlocker experience
• Must be able to demonstrate use of both machines
• Complete uniform fittings, alterations and repairs
• Repair upholstery and room furnishings
• Uniform and linen stock control
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
• Minimum 15 hours per week
