About the role
Grand Hyatt Melbourne has a unique opportunity for a creative and experienced Executive Chef to join the team and lead the culinary division. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient running of the Culinary division in partnership with the Director of Food & Beverage and in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting colleague, guest and owner expectations. This role reports to the General Manager of the Hotel.

Specifically, you will oversee the culinary aspect of our extensive Events space as well as Collins Kitchen restaurant, ru-co bar and 24-hour In-Room Dining.

 

What we are looking for:
Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a similar environment is essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Exceptional people leadership skills including the ability to motivate and inspire in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen including experience in business planning, profit and loss review, financial forecasting as well as creative manning structures
  • A creative flair in cuisine attracting both in-house guests and beyond to enjoy delicious, local food that aligns with Hyatt's culinary philosophy; 'Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served
