One of Sydney's finest catering businesses is searching for a Senior Sous Chef to cater and cook for the who's who of the Eastern Suburbs.

Are you their next show stopper?

As Senior Sous you will be the right hand man to the current head chef with the room to grow and develop as the role progresses. You will be responsible for a very high standard of service and creativity across the menu, including private functions, corporate events, wedding packages and high end dinner parties.

Charm is essential - you will need to be comfortable interacting with high profile celebs and guests!

Experience in running a busy high end kitchen brigade is essential, Asian fusion exposure is preferred along with hatted or michelin experience at some stage in your career. This is a kitchen that is creative with the Senior Sous needing excellent leadership and communication skills enabling you to liaise with clients and assist in managing a high performing team.
  
For this role you will require;
  • MINIMUM 3 years experience as Sous or Head Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • Well presented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ideally have recent hatted or michelin experience
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service times.
  • Ability to manage rosters balanced against budgetary requirements
  • Menu development and costings
  • Strong understanding and compliance with kitchen hygiene HACCP systems
  • Excellent communication skills and report writing 
  • IT skills around software programs for ordering and stocktaking
  • Ability to work as a kitchen team.
