Overview of the role:
Starts at 60 is an established media company expanding into its own travel fulfilment via Travel at 60. You will be part of a new dynamic travel agency team selling full service travel and our range of tailor-made experiences to our 1.5 million over 60 audience.
What will you be doing?
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience for our customers each and every time.
- Convert targeted enquiries to bookings.
- Strive to meet sales targets to earn fantastic incentives.
- Provide travel information, make bookings and record sales in company systems as required.
- Liaise and development relationships with suppliers and airlines to make bookings for customers.
- Provide options and alternatives for customer travel arrangements.
- Assist travellers with international and domestic travel plans by selling options to travellers over the phone & through an online environment.
- Anticipate problems and propose solutions.
- Work with the customer to add value to their travel experience through identifying upsell & cross sell offers.
What do you need to be successful?
- Certificate III in Travel (or above) OR Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for a minimum period of (2) years in a front line selling travel position will be highly regarded.
- Excellent product knowledge across all travel products.
- A real passion for all aspects of travel.
- Solid working knowledge of a major GDS, preferably Sabre and other internal portals.
- Demonstrated sales ability, having previously worked towards KPI's.
- At least three years travel industry experience using the Tramada system.
- Excellent communication skills with a personable and engaging manner.
- A great team player.
- A desire to be an ambassador for the company’s brand and integrity on the very front line.
Must haves:
- Valid driver’s licence and unrestricted Passport.
- Willingness to attend after hours industry functions.
- Ability to travel regularly as required.
- Ability to work in Australia.
