A dynamic and successful boutique hospitality group is seeking a highly motivated and sales-focused Functions Coordinator to work closely with management to grow and run the functions and events business.

As our Functions Coordinator, you will primarily be based in our Mosman venue.  You will enjoy working in one of the newest and most talked about venues on Sydney's Lower North Shore boasting city views and amazing interior design.  With weekly travel to our second venue in Sydney’s south, your own car is essential.

 

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Responding to all Functions and Events Sales enquiries in a timely manner
  • Following up on sales leads promptly
  • Liaising with clients over the phone, via email and in person
  • Creating and sending out tailored proposals and quotes within set turnaround times
  • Negotiating contract terms, conditions, pricing and payment with clients
  • Collaborating with our management team to ensure every function is a success
  • Clearly communicating with our operations team in weekly meetings to ensure upcoming events are finalised in advance and executed seamlessly
  • Coordinating and executing corporate and private functions

 

Our ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years’ experience managing functions and events, ideally within clubs/hotels, along with:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal departments
  • The ability to tailor proposals to client needs, including any internal liaison with the kitchen (e.g. menu design)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • The capacity to deal with a wide range of people, systems and processes concurrently
  • Open communication and be able to give clear direction and delegation
  • Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
