Bus Drivers Required | FIFO | Immediate Start

Safety of staff and residents within this site and work areas is paramount and no staff member may knowingly act, or allow others to act, in a manner that may cause injury to another person: make a work area unsafe to work in; or make a task unsafe to perform. Staff must participate in safety meetings on site, undergo site inductions and safety training as required, to reside and work at these sites. When working on site, staff must have a zero Blood Alcohol Content (BAC)

  • Staff will be accommodated in single rooms at the Village and will be provided with meals, uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) which must always be worn whilst on duty.
  • The rosters typically do not allow for 100% of driving time on any given day and require drivers to perform a range of tasks to complete their allocated work time for that day. Bus drivers will be required to clean rooms, buildings and areas within the Village and Mine, either during the day or at night.
  • Bus drivers will be required to drive in a range of conditions and must be able to apply safe work practices and demonstrate the ability to drive to the conditions when they change. Roads will vary from bitumen, to gravel to dirt. Buses will be driven in areas of low speed and on highways. Buses will be driven in both day and night-time conditions in all types of weather.

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING

  •  A Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence will be required for this role (mandatory)
  •  Training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage, but not essential

EXPERIENCE

  •  At least 12 months, previous experience in driving buses (mandatory)
  •  Previous experience driving buses or other heavy equipment on a mine site (preferred)
  •  Previous experience involving cleaning; (preferred)
