Griffith Food is a successful business unit of Campus Life operating a number of food outlets across Griffith University's Brisbane and Gold Coast campuses. Griffith Food strive to consistently provide a variety of fresh, safe and quality food products to the Griffith University community in modern surroundings, which together reflect current market trends and our customers' needs.
The opportunity
We are currently looking for experienced kitchenhands to be responsible for maintaining a high standard cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including all equipment; food handling, preparation and presentation of food (making of sandwiches, salads and wraps); receiving of stock, ensuring all criteria as outlined in Food and Safety Guide; and assisting the Head Chef as necessary. The role offers approximately 20-25 hours per week on a Monday to Friday roster.
About you
To be successful within this role, you will be able to prioritise tasks while working in a fast paced environment, be a team player with a positive mature attitude and have a flexible approach to your workday. You will have evidence of food preparation and handling experience and knowledge of WHS and food safety. You will also have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
Salary range
Casual GFA Level 1: $25.33 - $26.13 per hour (Junior rates apply for those under 20)
