Job Summary & Responsibilities

Cater Care are seeking an experienced Weekend Chef at an Aged Care facility in Emu Plains.
The key to our success is our people. Your role in this environment is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued residents through the cooking of a variety of meals, preparation of ingredients and food service.
This position is hands on position requiring you to prepare and cook meals for 120 residents. 

Please note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Clearance  
Roster:  Saturday & Sunday 6:00am - 2:00pm
Salary: $26/hour Saturday and $36/hour Sunday
Key responsibilities
  • Cooking nutritious Homestyle meals: hot breakfast, morning/afternoon tea, 2 choice hot lunch and dessert
  • Special diets and diet requirements including allergies/intolerances, supplements and texture modified soft & purees
  • Supervising and overseeing kitchen & food service on weekend
  • Monitoring and promoting kitchen hygiene and HACCP
  • All aspects of kitchen operations including washing dishes and cleaning kitchen
Key Criteria:
  • Trade qualified Chef
  • Previous experience in a similar position within Aged Care, Health or Hospitals
  • A passion for producing great food and customer service
  • Willingness to embrace Cater Care's values of Care Pride Community
  • Excellent communication skills with varying stakeholders
  • Have a strong understanding of HACCP
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role working in Aged Care, Health or Hospitals. You will be a well presented and self-motivated individual who has excellent organisational and communication skills.
