Who are we?

Headquartered in Cheltenham, APT Travel Group is a 90 year old, family owned, independently operated business that encompasses an extensive portfolio of luxury touring and cruising brands. We have about 700 team members (season dependent) spread over 8 countries. You will join a team of 10 flight desk consultants who are close-knit, supportive and enjoy social activities together.

A bit more about you and the role:

Day to day you are handling all airline related enquires from our internal reservations teams or external airline suppliers, either by phone, via email or through our GDS (Sabre).

What this means is, you need to provide superior assistance to both internal and external parties by being practical, flexible, accurate and extremely knowledgeable in this space. This includes chatting with different airlines about specific guest requirements whether it be a medical issue, schedule change or a no show to a flight. It doesn’t’ stop there though, at the end of the day you are the ticketing master, you will issue airline tickets, reissue tickets and process refunds when required.

The right person for this?

This is a pretty cool gig for someone who is a bit of an ‘airline geek’. Our ideal candidate is someone who gets fares and ticketing, has foundational GDS experience, understands what PNR means and obviously has a good grasp on airline and city codes. Accuracy and detail is paramount to this role, I mean if you’re not triple checking your work the impact can be huge. Imagine turning up for a flight and your name is not on the list! You’ll thrive in a fast paced environment, bring exceptional customer service and communication skills to the role and enjoy contributing to the wider team.
