About the Restaurant

The Golden Ox is a family owned and operated, award-winning restaurant and function venue that has been operating for 41 years. Located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, we offer diners not just incredible food, but a first-class experience. Our a la carte menu includes modern Australian cuisine with a special interest in seafood. The Golden Ox is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner in the restaurant and includes weekly functions from business meetings and birthday celebrations to degustation events and wedding receptions in our two modern function rooms.

About the Role

To ensure we have the right Chef for the role, you must have:

• Experience in a similar role within a high end restaurant and function venue
• Positive, energetic and passionate attitude
• Proven practice & knowledge of safe food handling procedures
• Strong appreciation for working as a team and training staff
• Pride in producing high quality product
• Experience in receiving & rotation of stock
• Work harmoniously with the entire team – restaurant and kitchen staff
• Availability to work days, nights and weekends are essential
