Air Liquide Healthcare in Australia is a leading and dedicated supplier of medical gases, homecare and sleep services. We specialise in respiratory diseases with strong reputation in sleep diagnostics and CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy.

Job tasks and responsibilities

The satisfaction gained from this role comes from providing considerably improved quality of life to patients suffering from obstructive sleep disorders, who have come to us to obtain the correct equipment as prescribed by their doctor and then look to us for continuing support whilst they undertake their CPAP therapy.

Everyday brings powerful, emotional feelings of satisfaction of being able to help people totally change their lives for the better with this treatment.

Your primary responsibility will be to achieve sales of the specialised CPAP therapy equipment and provide ongoing support services to our patients after they have been diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea by their specialist.

You will be as passionate about sales and creating sales opportunities as you are about providing a high level of clinical support and your success and drive will see you advance if you so desire. This position is currently a full time position.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handle general customer inquiries,
  • Provide set-up, on-going services and equipment according to a medical prescription
  • Fit the customer with the prescribed mask
  • Contact referring physicians to ensure appropriate products and services are provided to patients
  • Achieve sales of new or additional services
  • Manage the stock levels
  • Process on-line order, invoice completed dockets, organise general filing and banking

Skills and experience

You are a well presented, astute and savvy sales professional who has spent time in roles such as nursing,  pharmacies, optometrist retail outlets, podiatry clinics etc. You are able to draw on your experience of working with patients when showcasing products and responding to any patient queries to make them feel at ease as they assimilate to their new therapy. 

You will have good experience in sales in addition to completing daily retail duties i.e. cash management, store management and stock control and be computer literate. You will be comfortable dealing with the doctors and sleep specialists daily and be a quick thinker and fast learner.

As part of the pre-employment process, potential employees are required to undertake background checks applicable to the requirements of the position i.e., reference checks, pre-employment medical, and police clearance.
