Occupational Therapist- Adult Caseload

hb rehab has been operating for 19 years and our team continues to grow. We are providers of Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Support Co-ordination and Case Management services to both adults and kids.
Position available:
The Occupational Therapist will provide a high-quality service to our adult clients, assessing and treating clients within our Wallsend clinic and within the community. The Occupational Therapist will have the opportunity to provide a multidisciplinary approach within our dynamic team and alongside other providers working within our clinic. We offer a diverse caseload, working with people who have a range of physical, cognitive and mental health difficulties. We are a supportive and friendly team of therapists and there are opportunities for professional development and flexible work arrangements.
Duties:
- Equipment prescription
- Home modifications
- Assessment of ADL capacity
- Functional education
- Training to support workers/carers to promote client independence
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience
- AHPRA registration and member of OT Australia
- Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Current driver’s licence and own car with comprehensive insurance
- Experience with equipment prescription and environmental modifications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisational skills
- Excellent ability to provide clinical reasoning and report writing skills
- Computer literacy
- Self-motivated and passionate to further develop and implement a quality service
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme system
