The Role
Since opening our doors in July 2016, Epworth Geelong has gone through some exciting and busy times. To meet the needs of our growing surgical, medical, oncology, complex care and rehabilitation services, we are seeking to grow our nursing resource team.
We are seeking passionate, flexible and patient-care orientated Registered and Enrolled (Endorsed) Nurses with recent acute experience to join our Epworth Geelong team. This exciting opportunity will see you work across all wards as an active member of our casual bank team.
You will need to provide regular availability across a range of shifts, 7 days a week. With a focus on excellence in nursing you will be part of our team nursing model in providing patient-centred care.
Key areas of focus for this role include:
- Delivering an exceptional patient experience
- Providing high standards of nursing care
- Encouraging and role-modelling empathy to patients, families and medical staff
About you
To be successful in the role you will:
- Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in surgical/medical nursing care and the patient journey
- Demonstrate compassion in achieving high quality clinical outcomes
- Demonstrate critical thinking and collaborative approach
- Be flexible and adaptable to working across the organisation
- Be available for a range of shifts across a 7 days roster
- Hold current nursing registration with AHPRA
