You will be employed by the WorkCare division of APM to provide professional allied services to JobActive clients.
Day in the life of a Consultant
- Assesses the skills, capabilities and needs of both non-vocational and vocational barriers and strengths of job seekers.
- Provide psychological/motivational/vocational counselling to address barriers in returning to work in a one-on-one environment.
- Assist the job seekers to focus on returning to work even when other barriers may be occurring.
- Support and provide recommendations to the employment consultant to progress the job seeker to becoming more work ready.
- Working as part of an employment team to achieve goals of the organization.
- Ensuring all administrative requirements are adhered to including all written reports and internal/external invoicing.
What you will need to join our Team
- Tertiary qualifications in psychology (can be provisionally registered), rehabilitation counselling or social work.
- Professional registration with AHPRA/ASORC/RCAA/AASW.
- Experience in effectively engaging and working with diverse range of client groups in a coaching/development role to build personal action plans and self-efficacy is highly desirable.
- Experience in providing short-term intervention to progress a job seeker to become more work ready
- Experience building trusting relationships with people and leading individuals towards identifying and achieving goals.
- Experience in successfully developing and delivering individually tailored programs for people.
- Experience working in an outcomes-focused team environment and working to key performance indicators.
- Possession of a current valid Driver's Licence and willingness to drive.
