Our Business:
Sydney Therapy & Co is a thriving private practice based in Lane Cove on the Lower North Shore. We work with young children through to adolescent clients and their families within the community.
We are located in a modern and well equipped clinic in Lane Cove with parking and easy access. Intervention is both clinic and community based. We are a friendly team who support each other and are looking for an enthusiastic speechie to join our growing practice.
Your Role:
This is an exciting opportunity offering a mixed caseload of clients across preschool and school age children.
You will work with children who have a range of speech, language, learning, social skills, executive functioning, and literacy needs. As an NDIS provider, you will also support children with a range of disabilities.
Initially this role will be for 2 days as a contractor with scope to increase days over the coming months. We currently have 4 permanent employees and 2 contractors as well as a practice manager. As the caseload permits, there is potential to move into a permanent role in time.
Requirements for the job:
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Grounded skills in speech and language disorders
- Personable and able to relate to clients, their parents, and educators
- Knowledge or exposure to Spalding or other certified literacy programs
- Leadership skills to carry responsibility in managing aspects of the practice
- Experience delivering therapy within home, educational and community based settings.
- Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in Speech Pathology
- Current Speech Pathology Australia Membership
- Drivers licence, own vehicle and insurance
