About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Innovation Officer to join Metagenics on a permanent full-time basis at our head office in Northgate. In this role you will:
- Actively read, interpret and collaborate literature; identifying and reporting on scientific opportunities and technical gaps in product ranges
- Identify, review and report on ingredients, technologies and finished products that represent advances in natural and functional medicine and have the potential to drive significant sales growth
- Identify opportunities for potential products that are therapeutically effective, backed by science to support claims and have a sustainable point of difference in the market
- Work with Marketing and R&D to define key clinical or market target areas for innovation focus
- Maintain up-to-date technical and regulatory knowledge in key strategic areas
- Activating consult and collaborate with the Product Development team
- Review and optimise innovation processes to achieve best practice and continuous improvement

Skills and experience
- Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) or Advanced Diploma alongside significant industry experience
- Naturopathic industry experience with highly developed nutritional and herbal medicine
- Demonstrated strong research skills, including experience locating and interpreting scientific literature
- Ability to draw together technical, clinical, regulatory and commercial information to provide accurate strategic decisions
- Taking a collaborative approach
- Ability to switch technical passion and converse in terms that everyone can understand
