About the role

Our state of the art 103-bed Stanthorpe Aged Care Service recently expanded and we're looking for Personal Care Workers to join the team. You will have access to flexible rostering options to maximise freedom of lifestyle choices and we will be offering a variety of contracts and shifts.

You will assist in the 24 hour residential care of both high & low care residents with activities of daily living to improve their independence. Your role will be varied but centred on providing quality personal care and improvement activities such as:

  • Operate under the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care which is a system whereby you will have an allocation of residents each shift.
  • Assisting residents with their mobility to and from activities including meals.
  • Assisting residents to complete their care needs.

You will be required to work a variety of shifts including night shifts.

This position is based in Stanthorpe in the beautiful Granite Belt region. The region offers a laid back country lifestyle with distinct natural landscapes, fresh local produce and events and festivals celebrated across all four seasons. If you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as a rewarding role that has a positive impact on the lives of seniors, this might be the right opportunity for you

About you

You should really enjoy working with older people and may describe yourself as having a "calling" for the work. Your compassionate and patient nature will ensure that our residents feel valued and cared for. Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally, should include:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care; Individual Support or related discipline.
  • Recognised competency in the Administration of Medications to the elderly.
  • Current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain.
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7 day week, with availability at short notice.

Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of: modelling unconditional love; behaving with integrity; and being good stewards.
