The Hospital

The Department
Immigrant Health provides care to people of refugee background and people seeking asylum, and sits within the department of General Medicine, one of the largest departments at RCH which comprises a number of sub speciality units including Infectious Diseases, Immunisation, Rheumatology and Clinical Pharmacology.
The Role
Immigrant Health has a full time, fixed term Fellow position, commencing in February 2019.
The Fellowship will provide an advanced trainee in Paediatrics, Community Child Health or Paediatric Infectious Diseases with experience and training in Paediatric refugee health issues. The position will be based at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) and coHealth. In addition to clinical care provided at RCH, the position will also provide clinical care to patients at coHealth Footscray (WRHC) for 0.1EFT (paid directly by coHealth) and the RCH Tuberculosis service. The fellow will be supervised with weekly meetings for support in clinical care, and collaborative work on education and policy.
Successful applicants will be required to undertake a Police Check and Working With Children Check.

Qualifications required
- MBBS or equivalent
- AHPRA registration
- Eligible for registration in Victoria
- Advanced Trainee in Paediatrics, with RACP exams completed (preference given to applicants who have completed their advanced training and gained Fellowship)
