About the role

We are currently seeking a Manager of Quality and Compliance to join our Support Services Team based at our modern Redfern Headquarters.  In this brand new role you will work closely with and support the Executive Manager – Care Services and Governance through effective management of operational risk management, quality initiatives, governance, regulatory compliance, and policy.

The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership and strategic governing to ensure the organisations’ quality improvement system consistently demonstrated its commitment to improving the outcomes of care and service delivery.
  • Development, renewal and consistent implementation of risk management framework to ensure risks are identified, minimised and managed,
  • Ensure systems are in place, effective and consistently utilised to ensure optimal care and service delivery outcomes.  To which learnings are embedded in future strategies to maximise delivery practices and system outcomes.
  • External service providers are managed to ensure safe and high quality care and service delivery.
  • Ensure that all corporate and care policies and procedures are documented and maintained to assist organisational practices are safe and high quality.
  • Emergency and disaster management supports safe and well prepared practice and a safe environment.
  • Review, implement and monitor the implementation of a strong quality management framework that is consistent with legislative and organisational requirements, to which organisational learning and strategy is embedded thereby improving risk and quality approaches in the business. This includes but not exclusive to; internal and external reviews, continuous improvement plans, audits, mandatory reporting, continuous state of preparedness for reviews, quality databases and systems and relevant strategic objectives.
  • Assist with maintenance of relationships with key external education providers and liaise with regulatory agencies.
  • Complete reporting, management, root cause analysis and leadership on quality and governance.


About You 

 
To be considered for this important role, you must have:

  • A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army. An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel
  • University qualifications in management, leadership, quality, governance or health related field
  • Quality Agency, IS9001 and/ or EQUIP ACHS audit credentialing
  • AHRPA Registration as a Registered Nurse is desirable but not essential
  • Significant experience in a senior operational/executive management role as a quality manager and lead auditor in a large health/aged care service
  • An ability to work co-operatively to implement change, providing support and leadership
  • Demonstrated high level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capability in project management
  • Experience in management of stakeholder relations with key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development and implementation
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Willingness and ability to travel both intra and interstate
  • Willingness and ability to take on-call as requirements as requested
