About the role

We are currently seeking a Manager - Clinical Learning and Practice Development to join the Aged Care Plus clinical leadership team in this brand new role. The key responsibilities of the role are to support the Executive Manager – Care Services and Governance through effective development and leadership in learning and development, clinical supervision and professional development. 

This is a permanent full time position based at our modern hedquarters in Redfern with travel to Aged Care Plus Centres as required.

Key objectives of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Leadership and development of the aged care learning and development strategy
• Develop the leadership and management capability for the future
• Manage key leadership and management development projects including talent. management, succession planning, career pathways, coaching/mentoring and the implementation of leadership capability frameworks
• Implement clinical supervision framework and strategies with ongoing management, leadership and evaluation to ensure effectiveness
• Partner with Shared Services teams to identify training needs and implement engaging learning and development approaches
• Support significant change management initiatives and organisation cultural alignment
• Develop, manage and evaluate the online and organisational learning management systems to ensure educational outcomes are met for all aged care staff within a timely and effective manner
• Ensure mandatory training requirements are consistently achieved
• Develop online courses for all available courses
• Provide specialise learning and development advice to key stakeholders
• Coordinate and manage education budget in line with strategic and operational priorities
• Drive learning innovation and best practice
• Assist with maintenance of relationships with key external education providers and liaise with regulatory agencies
• Complete reporting, management, root cause analysis and leadership on education, training and clinical supervision

 

About You 

To be considered for this important role, you must have:

• A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army. An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel
• Tertiary qualifications in education, adult education, organisational development or other relevant qualifications and experience
• Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
• Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating learning and development plans, projects and activities
• Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and developing people and teams
• Proven ability to design and implement inductions, online learning, competency based education and role-based learning
• Ability to research, define and communicate project objectives that are clear, useful and attainable
• Highly developed planning and organisational skills with the proven ability to set and understand priorities and to work effectively under pressure
• Highly developed presentation and written communication skills
• Strong understanding of the contemporary use of Learning Management Systems
• Experience in creation and/or curation of digital assets and online learning
• Highly developed financial and project management skills
• An ability to work co-operatively to implement change, providing support and leadership
• Demonstrated high level written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience in management of stakeholder relations with key stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to take on-call requirements on rotation as requested
