Are you an experienced Midwife in search of a dynamic opportunity within a rewarding healthcare organisation?
Nepean Private Hospital are seeking expressions of interest from Registered Midwives for full-time, part-time and casual employment to join their team of professionals in providing excellent patient care


As a Registered Midwife your responsibilities will be to:
  • Provide high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
  • Plan, assess, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
  • Supervise, direct, guide junior nurses and undergraduate midwives in provision of midwifery care
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid / cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

Selection Criteria:
  • Current unconditional APHRA registration
  • Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
  • Specialist knowledge with experience and skills to deliver competent, quality care
  • Highly developed clinical skills in maternity services, antenatal, birth suite, postnatal care
  • Role model for safe practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • The ability to act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients, their families and colleagues
  • Assurance to participate in flexible rostering
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Check
