About The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior nurse wanting to develop and expand on their leadership and clinical education skills within our Neurosurgery / Orthopaedic ward.  

The Clinical Nurse:

  • Promotes a culture of clinical excellence that is based on person-centred care to deliver safe, quality care and services
  • In collaboration with the Clinical Manager identifies training needs and assists in providing ongoing education to the clinical team.
  • Works with the Clinical Manager to ensure compliance with all standards, hospital policies/procedures, Work Health & Safety legislation
  • Relieves into the position of Clinical Manager (RN3) as required

Hours

Hours will be negotiated with the successful Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate would work a minimum of 60 hours rostered flexibly across each fortnight. Shift configurations include early, late and night shifts.

About You:

Our preferred candidate will be a Registered Nurse with significant experience in neurological or orthopaedic surgical Nursing.

In addition, candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • Relevant and recent acute clinical experience
  • Strong organisation and prioritization skills
  • The ability to lead a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • A commitment to delivering best practice patient care.

Relevant Post Graduate qualifications will be highly regarded and attract a qualification allowance.
